Main Use:
An improvement on traditional Grid questions, Carousel Questions are used when you need to ask several related questions with the same response sets. With a Carousel setting, you present the participant with a series of pop-up cards of items to be tested (e.g. brand image attributes), sharing a common set of response options. Because Carousel group questions logically, they can clue in participants that you’re asking them to share opinions from a similar mindset and go through them fairly quickly.
How to set up the platform:
1. In the Questionnaire Builder page, add a new question OR insert a new question by hovering over an existing question and clicking the green (+) button (either above or below the existing question)

2. Select Carousel from the pop-up menu that appears.

3. Write your question number or label in the upper box and write your question in the Question Setup Tab.

4. Add the statement or attributes in the Cards Box
Cards (Content):
- If adding the attributes or statements by typing one by one in the Option Content field, click Add Card
- If adding attributes or statements using copy-paste from a list, or drag-and-drop list/image, click Batch Add
- When adding Cards (whether individually or batch add) the Card Label (what appears in result visualization or dashboard) will also be automatically updated, but can also be modified by users. The Value or card codes cannot be modified.
A. Randomize cards
- If enabled, this will display the cards in a random order instead of the order you added them in. This enabled by default
B. Card Format
- The users can specify the card formats and choose from 'Text only', 'Image only'
C. Font (Size, Color, Family)
- Users can modify the text size, color and font type for 'Text only' cards. This will be applicable for all cards instead of individual cards.
5. Add the participants' choices using the Response Options Box
Response Option Box (Content):
- If adding answer options by typing choices one by one, click Add Option
- If adding answer options using copy-paste from a list, click Batch Add
- You can also add options using the pre-determined list in the Library > Add from Library
- You can also save the options you created using Library > Save Options to Library (and it will be added to the Add From Library drop-down list)
- To add a mutually exclusive option, you can click (+) Not Applicable and edit the wording for Not Applicable (for example: None of the above)
- To add Other responses click (+) Other, Specify and participants can type in and specify their answer (not in the listed option)
- When adding Options (whether individually, batch add or from Library) , the Value or option codes as well as the Label (what appears in result visualization or dashboard) will also be automatically updated, but can also be modified by users.

D. Multi-select
- To make the question (or each card) a multiple choice, toggle on Multi-select, and using the drop down, you can select (or type in) the least number of allowed responses (left) and the maximum number of (right) allowed responses.

E. Piped Options
- If adding options from an existing question, toggle on Use piped options
F. Randomize Options
- If you want to randomize a response to shuffle the choices (and to avoid response bias), toggle on Randomize options. This will display the options in a random order instead of the order you added them in.
G. Option Format
- The users can specify the option formats and choose from 'Text only', 'Image only' or 'Text and image'
H. AutoFill Option Values
- If enabled, the option values will be auto filled based on the options (1 to N)

- If disabled, this will allow users to change the code value. For example, in your 5-pt scale rating instead of "Code 5" = Like very much, users can manually change or reverse the code value like "Code 1" = Like very much
